Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

Phase II Environmental Site Assessment

Delineation & Remediation

Ambent provides Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) a preliminary, non-intrusive investigation used during real estate transactions to evaluate a property for potential environmental contamination or liabilities. The process involves a thorough historical records review (such as aerial photos and fire insurance maps), interviews with past or present occupants, and a visual site inspection of the property and its surrounding areas.

Ambent provides Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is an intrusive, hands-on investigation conducted when a Phase 1 assessment flags potential contamination on a property. This process involves collecting physical samples—such as soil, groundwater, and soil vapor—through specialized methods like drilling boreholes & installing monitoring wells. The collected samples are then analyzed by accredited laboratories to test for hazardous substances.

Ambent Provides Environmental delineation and remediation services are the definitive actions taken to outline and clean up contamination once it has been confirmed on a property. Delineation acts as the mapping phase, where field experts conduct tight-grid testing to establish the precise physical boundaries, depth, and volume of the contamination in soil or groundwater. Once the zone is fully mapped, remediation is executed using targeted cleanup strategies.

Excess Soil Management

Groundwater Dewatering Management

Surface Water Monitoring

Ambent provides Excess soil services ensure that surplus soil generated during construction and excavation activities is handled sustainably and legally in compliance with Ontario's On-Site and Excess Soil Management Regulation (O. Reg. 406/19). The process begins with soil testing and characterization, where a Qualified Person (QP) develops sampling plans and performs chemical analyses to determine the soil's quality and heavy metal or contaminant levels.

Ambent provide a comprehensive Groundwater management plans, strategy to monitor, protect, and control subsurface water resources during property development, construction dewatering, or environmental remediation.

Ambent provides Surface water monitoring services systematic evaluation and data collection to track the chemical, physical, and biological health of open water bodies—such as lakes, rivers, creeks, stormwater ponds, and construction runoff basins.

In-situ / Ex-situ Remediation

Designated Substance Survey

Emergency Response Services

Ambent provides In-situ and ex-situ remediation services delivering targeted cleanup strategies to eliminate environmental contaminants from soil and groundwater, categorized by where the treatment takes place.  In-situ remediation tailored to treat pollution directly in the ground without excavation, utilizing less disruptive methods such as chemical oxidation injections.  Ex-situ remediation involving the physical excavation of  contaminated soil or pumping out groundwater for external treatment.

Ambent provides emergency response to chemical spills rapid, 24/7 containment and mitigation services to control accidental releases of hazardous materials—such as petroleum fuels, industrial solvents, acids, and caustic chemicals. The immediate priority focuses on source control and containment, deploying field response teams to block storm drains, place absorbent booms, and apply neutralizing agents to stop the chemical from migrating into nearby soil, groundwater, or surface water bodies.

Ambent’s Designated Substance Survey (DSS) Services provide comprehensive hazardous materials assessments in strict compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety and O. Reg 490/09. Their qualified environmental consultants conduct meticulous field inspections and laboratory sampling to identify the presence, location, and concentration of Ontario's designated substances.
